My favorite places in Korea are the traditional markets. I used to go before I go to schol in the morning to just stand and feel the energy. Many times i used to go to all the way to Inchon to see the ocean too on really hard days. I think they helped me stay sane. After while the teachers didn't scolded me too much, maybe because I always showed up even it was few hours late.
The traditional markets held every five days and each town and village has different dates. Even now anyone who wants to sell anything can find a spot and sell. No license and fees are needed most of the time. But I think they would have to pay for the permanent spot. The Moran market is the biggest in the country and feels like a flea market and a small county fair combined.
