More lanterns

The East Gate

Busy Seoul with a lantern festival... Can't tell day from the night

We stayed by the historic East gate, the busiest clothing shop district in Korea. Many shops are open 24 hours and the whole district is alive all the time.

Dan's birthday...

Dan had a birthday on Sunday, November, 8.  But the local missionaries had a surprise party the day before with cakes and a hat with a simple meal on his birthday.

His first pedicure and loved it.

Around the Town

When I visited in 2018, it was closed....
We haven't figured out why this tiny Vietnamese restaurant has a long line all the time.  Could it be the waiting in the line is a novelty?

We need to figure out how much we have to order so we can have the McDonald to deliver to the temple.  We make a fiive minute walk down to the McDonald for soft ice cream often.  The best desert for ninty cent for both of us.  Dan says the walking burns more calories than the ice cream....

You walk a busy and narrow street and someone wrote a poem on a left over rooftile...  There is hope for busy Koreans yet....

On the way to a large university...

How can they concentrate for their study???   Koreans are smart! I hope...

For our 37th anniversary we went to a pickled shrimp festival...

Who knew pickled shrimps are worthy of festivals....  but they are an essential part of winter gimchee..  Deserve all the respect.
